Jobs are usually synonymous to being boring or monotonous and leaves you with no time for other things that are important to you. Most of the jobs are now from 9 to 5 and few of us even work on weekends where we can’t do enough of clickity-click on our laptops with strained necks and sore eyes. Although there are a few jobs which sounds like a dream, but they really do exist. Have you ever wondered how cool it will be if you one of those jobs where you just have to visit different places, eat their food and write or talk about it? I mean every time I switch on the channels like Food Network, two things happen. First, I get hungry (which I think is the main motive of the channel) and second, I start hating my job. I want to be able to roam around, eat good food, different food and get paid for it. Turns out there are a few food jobs that may sound weird but trust me, they exist.

Truffle Forager in the Pacific Northwest

Truffle usually takes your mind to places like Italy or France. Both the countries are pretty famous for their white and black truffles. You may not realize that there are people working as truffle foragers much closer to home. Oregon is quickly becoming a hotspot for truffle aficionados from all over the globe; there’s even a yearly Oregon Truffle Festival. Honestly, I never knew of the existence of this Truffle Festival.

Geoduck Diver

The geoduck (pronounced “gooey-duck”) is a rather alarming-looking specimen at first glance. The Pacific geoduck, also known scientifically as the much prettier sounding Panopea generosa, is a massive clam that is wildly popular in China and is quickly gaining attention in North America for its sweet, pleasantly briny flavor and delicate crunch.

Food Stylist

In my opinion, Food Stylists are also real artists. Their work is nothing less than a piece of great art. They can make everything, and anything look pretty and appetizing which in turns up the hunger level for people like us. They’re behind all of the food shown on TV and in films, whether it’s a cup of coffee or an extravagant feast.

If given a choice, which food job would you opt from out of the ones mentioned here?
