One of a kind- Mi TV LUX Transparent Edition

The Mi TV LUX Transparent Edition was one of the three launches that the brand unveiled during its 10th anniversary launch event. I am someone who easily gets fascinated with newer things and ones that usually defy the common route and footsteps of every other brand and comes up with something that has never been seen or experienced before and in all honesty, Xiaomi nailed it. The brand has not only launched something that has never been witnessed before but along with that, it also brings in newer and furutristic use of technology on board.

Mi TV LUX Transparent Edition is the world’s first mass-produced transparent TV. It has everything new and everything beyond that. With an edge-to-edge transparent self-luminous display transmitting images that seem to be suspended in the air, this TV ushers in a new way to consume visual content previously only seen in science fiction films. There have been quite a few backlash too, not to mention, the design in itself was highly questioned but it not only looks good and fascinating, it redefines the viewing experience that we have become used to over the years.

Mi TV LUX Transparent Edition offers a perfect combination of cutting-edge display technology and exquisite industrial design. When Mi TV LUX Transparent Edition is turned off, it looks like a mere glass display. Although no doubt, this definitely might take some time getting used to. The pictures it displays seem to be floating in the air, merging the virtual and the real to bring an unprecedented visual experience. So, a TV when on, and a mere mirror when off. What do you think of that?

Unlike traditional TVs that come with a back panel, Mi TV LUX Transparent Edition creatively embeds all the processing units in its base stand. With the launch of this TV, Xiaomi has become the world’s first mass producer of transparent OLED TVs, as well as China’s number one OLED Basic Module (OBM) manufacturer. That means Xiaomi is currently the only TV brand in China capable of individually handling the mass production process of a product as complex as Mi TV LUX Transparent Edition. How cool is that?

For those who are interested in the technicalities, Its 55″ transparent OLED panel features a 150000:1 static contrast ratio and an infinite dynamic contrast ratio, offering extra rich blacks and unmatched brightness. Leveraging its DCI-P3 93% color spectrum support, Mi TV LUX Transparent Edition is capable of restoring the colors that bring images to life. Its 10-bit panel displays 1.07 billion color combinations. The TV also comes with a 120Hz refresh rate and 120Hz MEMC technology, providing consumers with smoother and clearer motion representation. The TV has its power coming from a Mediatek chipset that’s integrated at its core ensuring a steady and uninterrupted performance at all times.

Anyone who is familiar with Xiaomi TV structure and working would know that they are usually equipped with the AI Master Engine, and the brand has done nothing different in that aspect. Mi TV LUX Transparent Edition is also equipped with an AI Master Smart Engine with over 20 optimization algorithms and dedicated optimization for 5 major use scenarios, the device intelligently refines graphic resolution to create vibrant pictures. Mi TV LUX Transparent Edition also supports AI Master for Audio allowing the device to intelligently detect the type of content playing and choose a fitting audio mode along with the support from Dolby Atmos.

Mi TV LUX Transparent Edition also supports AI Master for Audio allowing the device to intelligently detect the type of content playing and choose a fitting audio mode. The system also supports Always-On display and allows users to customize display images and texts. Now that I am done putting my fascination into words, what do you think of the Mi TV LUX Transparent Edition?
