Motorola Edge 2022: Launched With MediaTek D1050!
Motorola has launched the Motorola Edge (2022) upper mid-range smartphone in the US. This device has arrived as the beneficiary of the Motorola Edge (2021). The Edge (2022) by Moto is the first and foremost smartphone to come with the Dimensity 1050 chipset, and there are so many great specs as well. Let us discuss those!
Starting from the front of this Edge (2022), it comes with a 6.6-inches OLED board that presents a Full HD+ resolution of 1080 x 2400 pixels, an element ratio of 20:9, and a refresh rate of up to 144Hz. It also sustains 10-bit colors and HDR10+. This Edge (2022) also has a sensor under the screen.
Talking about the camera setup of this device, for shooting selfies, this Edge 2022 is fitted with a 32-megapixel front lens. Its rear panel features a capable 50-megapixel primary cam with optical image stabilization and Omni Directional PDAF support. It is further accompanied by a 13-mp ultra-wide lens that plaits up as a macro camera. The rear camera setup also incorporates a 2-megapixel depth sensor.
The Dimensity 1050 SoC by MediaTek is supported by 6 GB / 8 GB of RAM. This processor D1050 gets the most immediate, lowest-latency connectivity to the broadest audience ever via seamless 5G sub-6GHz (FR1) and mmWave (FR2), and Wi-Fi 6E techs, all built-in to this ultra-efficient 6nm-class fragment. Furthermore, this Dimensity 1050 can connect to 4g and 5g simultaneously, offering up to 53% faster paces than others that can only relate to 4G LTE and mmWave simultaneously.
The device also offers 128 GB / 256 GB of built-in storage, and it operates on Android 12 along with My UX on top. It also features a 5,000mAh battery backup that sustains 30W TurboPower charging as well as 15W wireless charging.
