MediaTek Dimensity 1200 SoC Powered Phones!
When the chipset manufacturer launched the Dimensity series, it did manage to awe the markets and managed to create an excitement and anticipation of checking these chipsets out. The Mediatek Dimensity series kept growing at a good pace and the brand kept adding new processors to the lineup to offer more and more options for the smartphone manufacturers to choose from which is amazing. One of the best chipsets that has been added to the lineup is the Mediatek Dimensity 1200 and over time more and more smartphones were launched with the same 5G processor.
Dimensity 1200 is an octa-core CPU built on a 6nm node. It packs a single ultra-core Arm Cortex-A78 with frequency up to 3GHz for extreme performance and three Arm Cortex-A78 (up to 2.6GHz) Super cores. The remaining four cores are Arm Cortex-A55 (clocked at 2GHz) for efficiency. It has a nine-core Mali-G77 GPU with HyperEngine 3.0 gaming technology. The latest SoC will offer up to 22% faster CPU and 25% better power efficiency compared to the predecessor.
OnePlus Nord 2
OnePlus has launched its OnePlus Nord successor smartphone with the moniker OnePlus Nord 2. The Nord 2 features MediaTek Dimensity 1200 SoC. The smartphone arrives with a 6.43-inch punch-hole Full-HD+ AMOLED panel and a 90Hz refresh rate. We see a triple camera setup that includes a 50MP Sony IMX766 main unit, an 8MP ultra-wide unit, and a 2MP tertiary unit. It has a 32MP selfie camera at the top left. Colour options include Blue Haze, Gray Sierra, and Green Woods.
Poco F3 GT
Dimensity 1200 powered Poco F3 GT arrives in India as a rebranded version of the Redmi K40 Gaming Edition that was unveiled in China. The chipset is coupled with up to 8GB of LPDDR4x RAM and 256GB of UFS 3.1 storage. It is powered by a 5065mAh battery that supports 67W fast charging technology.
Realme X7 Max
Realme X7 Max has joined the vanilla X7 and X7 Pro smartphones in India. It is the first smartphone in India to be powered by Dimensity 1200 chipset. We get a 6.43-inch Full HD+ 120Hz Samsung AMOLED panel with 1200 nits peak brightness. It features an in-screen fingerprint sensor. The Realme X7 Max 5G comes with a 8GB/128GB option.
Oppo Reno 6 Pro
Oppo Reno 6 Pro arrives with a 6.55-inch AMOLED 90Hz refresh rate panel and Dimensity 1200 chipset. It has a 4500mAh battery which can charge at up to 65W speeds. It runs ColorOS 11.3 on top of Android 11.
Redmi K40 Gaming Edition
Xiaomi’s Redmi sub-brand has also introduced a gaming phone with MediaTek’s flagship SoC. It comes under the K40 series and is dubbed Redmi K40 Gaming Edition. It is currently available in China.
Realme GT Neo
Realme GT Neo is now official in China with Dimensity 1200 SoC, 6.43-inch Super AMOLED panel, 64MP main shooter, and 4500 mAh battery. It is available in three colour options: Fantasy gradient, Geek Silver, Hacker Black.
Blackview BL8000
Blackview is a Hong Kong-based Smartphone company known for its stellar rugged smartphones. They will bring a rugged phone called Blackview BL8000 with the 6nm Dimensity 1200 chipset. It will have 12 GB RAM.
Ulefone Armor 12
Ulefone has confirmed via a teaser poster that their upcoming rugged phone “Armor 12” will launch in June 2021 with MediaTek’s Dimensity 1200. Furthermore, the device will arrive with a 12GB RAM and 256GB storage option.
Dimensity 1200 packs an integrated 5G modem with the company’s UltraSave technology. It supports sub-6GHz, Dual 5G SIM, 2CC carrier aggregation and dynamic spectrum sharing (DSS). The SoC has a five-core HDR-ISP that can capture 200MP photos and 4K HDR video capture. There are several AI camera features which include AI Multi-Person Bokeh, AI-Panorama Night Shot, and AI noise reduction etc. It comes with support for ultra-fast 168Hz display refresh rates making the above-mentioned smartphones few of the most powerful, durable and efficient 5G smartphones.
