GPD XP Plus: A Gaming Handheld
After declaring the GPD XP Plus back in April 2022, the brand GPD has ultimately opened pre-orders for the GPD XP Plus. This is looking like a suitable and powerful gaming handheld. Let us discuss some details about it!
Talking about the design of GPD XP Plus, it is quite similar to its sibling, the GPD XP that was launched back in November 2021 with its dim grey aluminum chassis. It even has some of the same features.
Well, first of all, the GPD XP Plus comes fitted with a strong flagship MediaTek Dimensity 1200 chipset under the hood. The processor by Mediatek is said to deliver a more pleasing gaming experience as it arrives in an octa-core arrangement, 4 Cortex A78 high-performance centers + 4×A55 efficient middles. This chipset arrives with ARM’s Mali-G77 MC9 GPU and with snappy 4266Mbps LPDDR4x memory. In addition to this, the D1200 holds the MediaTek HyperEngine 3.0 which improves the gaming arrangement to 2.5 times.
With the boosted processor, the GPD XP Plus also features more immediate memory as well with 6GB LPDDR4X 4266Mbps RAM and comes equipped with 128GB UFS 3.1 storage. This promises more than 3 times the read and writes swiftness of UFS 2.1 on the prior gen.
Another advancement of the gaming handheld is the USB-C port which is slated to boast HDMI DisplayPort 1.2 and quicker charging as the organization plans to comprise a 65W charger in the package.
The last but not the least highlight of this GPD device is its modular gaming controls. The device possesses 3 controls in the container which are respectively an FPS Controller Module, a MOBA Controller Module, and an Xbox Controller Module.
Let me also mention that each module has magnetic connectors which are the junctures that authorize the modules to be connected with the main handheld and they demand not be charged as they charge wirelessly through the magnetic contacts. GPD ensures that users need not be concerned about the controller modules unexpectedly falling off as the power of the magnets ensures that it demands more than 1.1kg tensile force to pull them apart.
So, my question to you is that what do you reckon about this GPD XP plus?
