Although we, the fans have to wait a bit longer for the movie, Don’t Worry Darling to hit theatres, the Florence Pugh and Harry Styles film has already made to the headlines while the filming process.
The Director of this upcoming movie, Olivia Wilde, who collaborated with Booksmart author Katie Silberman on this project, talked about the hurdles and issues that come with making a film amid a pandemic.
After shooting began in the city of Los Angeles in late 2020, production was paused following someone on set testing positive for COVID-19. That break lasted for almost 2 weeks before resuming in the month of November 2020.
“It definitely affects that exact ingredient in the process, that camaraderie. It definitely makes it more difficult,” the director told the Variety in February 2021. “You have to really focus on everybody’s eyes. Everyone is communicating so differently, and there’s a lot of gesticulating.”
Let me also tell you that the movie “Don’t Worry Darling”, which originally had Pugh and Shia LaBeouf in the vital position, also went through various casting problems when the Disney alum dropped out due to some scheduling issue. The actor, Dakota Johnson, who previously joined the cast in the month of September 2020, dropped out 1 month later due to earlier commitments and was replaced with KiKi Layne.
