MediaTek has disclosed the Plus rendition of the processor: MediaTek Dimensity 9000+. This Dimensity 9000+ is a mid-cycle refresh with subtle changeovers when compared with the MediaTek Dimensity 9000.
Talking about it, The MediaTek Dimensity 9000+ chipset arrives with a performance boost analogised to its predecessor, the D9000. This new chipset delivers a CPU boost of approximately 5% and a GPU growth of about 10%. The processor is further produced on TSMC’s 4nm process and utilises the ARM v9 64-bit structure. It has one ARM Cortex-X2 CPU core paced at 3.2GHz, 3 ARM Cortex-A710 CPUs clocked up to 2.85GHz, and also 4 ARM Cortex-A510 CPU cores clocked at 1.8GHz.
In addition, the ARM Mali-G710 MC10 GPU strengths all the graphics processing inside the MediaTek D9000+. It can further drive up to FHD plus screen display resolution with a 180Hz refresh speed and up to WQHD+ solution with a 144Hz refresh rate. The processor furthermore presents H.264 and HEVC video encoding. It sustains H.264, HEVC, VP-9, and AV1 video playback authorisation. The processor additionally arrives with MediaTek’s 5th Gen APU 590 (multi-core).

“Building on the success of our first flagship 5G chipset, the Dimensity 9000+ ensures that device makers always have access to the most advanced high-performance features and the latest mobile technologies, making it possible for their top-tier smartphones to stand out,” stated Dr. Yenchi Lee, Deputy General Manager of MediaTek’s Wireless Communications Business Unit. “With a suite of top-tier AI, gaming, multimedia, imaging and connectivity features, the Dimensity 9000+ delivers faster gameplay, seamless streaming and an all-around better user experience.” also added.
Going forward, this MediaTek Dimensity 9000+ subsidises LPDDR5x RAM and UFS 3.1 storage norms with max memory frequencies of 7,500Mbps.
Connectivity elements of the Dimensity 9000+ contain 2G-5G Multi-Mode, 5G/4G Dual-SIM Dual-Active, 5G/4G CA (Carrier Aggregation), NSA Option3/3a/3x, NR TDD and FDD bands, SA Option2, 4×4 MIMO, 2×2 MIMO, 256QAM VoNR, and EPS fallback, etc.

Similarly, the MediaTek Dimensity 9000+ chipset presents peak download rates of up to 7Gpbs and peak upload swiftness of up to 2.5Gpbs.
In my opinion, this is a good launch by Mediatek, and they are claiming that very soon, this chipset is going to be in a smartphone. So, are you excited about it?
